Professor Aluja studies personality psychology, with special emphasis on the role of individual differences in biological orientation in: (1) gonodal hormones; (2) neurotransmiter systems (dopamine, noreponephrine, serotonine and yours metabolits); (3) structural personality models; and (4) emotion startle reflexes and electrophisiology. In addition, he's interested in various social orientations (delinquency, violence and mass media, cooperation, individualism, competition, aggression).
